Classic work bag review

There are some days when I can’t live without my favourite jewelry, a great scarf or a fabulous hat, but I always covet my favourite bags the most. I don’t know what it is about this specific accessory, maybe it’s because I can carry all of those other things with me or because a bag has the power to change an outfit, but they really are like a security blanket for me. I’m very pleased to share my newest addition, the Vanessa Tote in Fluorescent Leather Black, from BagInc.

This bag has a very classic cut and is the perfect shape to fit my laptop, a notebook and small daily essentials. Versatility is what I look for and this bag is a great transitional piece that will take me from work to an after dinner date and out on the weekend.

One lesson when it comes to bags that I learned from my trusty shoe repair man, (yes he knows about bags too, hey they’re leather right?), is to always look at the stitching, especially around the handle. If there aren’t any visible seams then likely it has been pieced together with glue and if it comes undone, it won’t be easy to fix. I’m very happy to say that this bag has beautiful strong stitching that will hold up to any abuse I might put it through.  While soft, supple bags are fun, this one is very sturdy and has a nice wide opening, so that I can easily find everything I’m looking for. With the handy front zip pocket, my phone and keys are at my finger tips. Another much appreciated feature are the metal feet studs. I try not to put my bag down on the ground if I can avoid it, but sometimes it’s necessary (actually in Poland I frequently get yelled at if I put my bag down, as it’s supposed to be bad luck). So when it does touch the ground, I like that the bottom of the bag doesn’t get dirty. Overall, the bag is beautifully made and I think that it has already proven to be a great addition to my collection.

Why should I care so much about this bag, it’s simple it makes me feel good!
