Sunglasses: A Sun Dance

Sunglasses. It has been raining all week, the kind of rain where you just feel soggy all the time and can’t seem to get completely dry. I see a tiny bit of light in the distance, out the window and to my right this morning but the weather report on the television, directly in front of me, says otherwise…..

So I have decided to take matters into my own hands. We’ve all heard of rain dances but I am performing my very own sun dance. No not yoga sun salutations (although those are pretty great too) instead I’m pulling out all the sunglasses that I can find and piling them all over my apartment just hoping that maybe the winds will blow the clouds away…..

My current favourites! I got theses sunglasses as an anniversary gift when I was in Europe last year. They make me feel very glamorous. Modern with a hint of retro….Love them!

Birthday gift from my hubby a few years back. I gotta give it to the man, he may not be overly adventurous when it comes to himself but he has great taste when it comes to picking out awesome gifts for me! Yes, he picked them out all by himself, they were a complete surprise, no hinting on my part.

These are very classic and will probably always be in style. They are my first introduction to Oliver Peoples and a very welcome discovery. Really great sunnies!

The sparklies on these sunglasses just make me happy! I actually like wearing these in the dead of winter with a really luxurious outfit.

These aren’t mine….but they look really good on me. I bought them for my husband and yes he does wear them. I like the fact that they are unisex and Rayban’s will always be in style. I included them because I need all the sunnies I can possibly find, I feel that they will attract the sunshine my way.

For when I don’t really want to see the world as it is, I turn to my rose coloured glasses. They cast a warm pinkish hue over everything and make my surroundings look warm and fuzzy.

Not overly fancy, not that cool, these are just his and hers running shades. They do a great job and best of all they stay put.

Woohoo! I seem to have magical powers after all. I kid you not as I sit here writing this, the SUN has just come out, it must love my little collection. I need to get off this couch and get my butt to the seawall. I hear some vitamin D calling my name. Here’s to a great weekend everyone!

So the next time it’s raining outside just put on your fave sunglasses and perform your very own sun dance!
