Spring shopping list. As much as I love clothing and looking at wonderful designs I’m actually a terrible shopper, unless of course I’m with my sister. Somehow with her, everything falls into place but otherwise I just wander around and have a hard time committing to anything. I don’t seem to have the ability to decide what I’ll need ahead of time although, I know I need some items for my spring shopping list. Shopping is an emotional experience for me and therefore, I truly admire people who are very organized with their pre-season, planned hauls.
Today I decided to go spend some time wandering around my friend’s boutique in West Vancouver, Pret-a-Porter Luxe, which is a gorgeous clothing boutique. I love doing this because she patiently lets me try everything on, doesn’t rush me and just laughs at my indecision. I saw so many lovely things that I’m starting to think I may actually be putting together a very real wish list for spring and may need to do some shopping in the near future….
So far spring has been absolutely lovely and the weather has been warm and sunny. This always makes me want to put away my dark clothing and pick up light airy pieces.
I am absolutely loving these shoes. The snakeskin heels are beautiful and although they have some colour in the photograph, they appear nude and slightly iridescent on the foot. I’m also really thinking about those gladiator heels, they are simply fabulous. I can picture myself wearing them throughout the summer.
I fell in love with this dress the moment I saw it. Made from a heavy raw silk, it is a never worn vintage piece. As far as I know it was commissioned for client who stashed it away. I’m loving the dropped waist. With a few strategically placed seams, I think this could be a great spring piece.
I’ve had my eye on this work of art for a while now. It’s a handmade necklace by a local Vancouver designer. Yes, it’s a bit much with that dress but I’m thinking a sharp blazer, a white tee, some skinny jeans and a great pair of heels and I have the perfect outfit for a night out with friends!
I’m starting to picture some new additions to my wardrobe, gearing up that spring wish list and slowly getting excited about doing some shopping!

I love your picks! The gladiators would be such a confidence piece. I wouldn’t be able to walk down the street feeling mopey or down with those on! Also, the silk dress is such a unique find. Can’t believe it was never worn! The necklace is beautiful and you are 100% right: wearing it with a light tee and sleek blazer would be super chic!
