Salt Spring Island Comes to Vancouver!
Whenever I travel, I love to discover all the wonderful artisanal shops, artist’s ateliers and unique fashion finds that each town seems to have. One such place is Salt Spring Island, just a ferry ride away from Vancouver. I am going to go so far as to say that Salt Spring might be the birthplace of all things bohemian. Yes, the scenery is exceptional. This is a spot where the deep blue of the ocean meets the lush greenery of giant trees. The vibrancy of these colours translates into the eclectic artwork which emerges from its many talented artisans. Salt Spring Island is one of BC’s worst kept secrets.
Now, a little piece of Bohemia is coming to Vancouver from March 14th to 16th. You can find everything there, from modern to rustic, there’s something for everyone whether you are chic or traditional.
I love filling my home with flickering candles and there’s nothing more beautiful than a vintage inspired soy candle to warm my surroundings. I am also bag obsessed. This is something that I cannot get enough of. Sure, I have my go-to’s that I carry on a daily basis, but I’m of the firm belief that one can never have enough hand bags. They are, perhaps, my most favourite accessory. Any outfit can be dressed up or down with a new bag.
Another passion of mine is jewelry and I always love discovering one-of-a-kind designs. Some of the finds at Salt Spring In The City will be End of Her Rope with eco-conscious body and hair adornments, Bohemian Arts with their incredible stones and copper jewelery, as well as urban Latin creations from silversmith Alvaro Sanchez. Or how about some unique fashions straight from Cherry Blossom, which are the perfect example of boho-chic.
