Shu Uemura shampoo. I find that whenever I travel I have no idea what to expect from my hair. Even a trip cross country, Vancouver to Toronto, can find me starring in the mirror trying to figure out who’s hair is currently sitting on my head. It has a mind of its own even at the best of times so I find myself always searching for products to fit its particular needs. After my return from Europe this past week I ran out of my current shampoo and conditioner, so I decided this was the perfect excuse to try something new!
I have lots of hair, it’s not extremely thick but there is a lot of it. So much so that my stylist has to periodically thin it out. I use to straighten my hair when it was long but now I just let it do what it wants. In the past I have chemically straightened my hair, used flatirons and curling irons. My hair has been blue, pink, light brown, black, blue-black and red. While it has never shown any signs of damage, recently I decided that I cannot tempt fate any longer.
Eating healthy plays a huge role in the appearance of your hair and skin but products can definitely help. I’ve been on a search to not only find great styling products but a shampoo and conditioner as well. I’m very excited to share my new find with you today. Since I colour my hair, I wanted to stick with a colour safe line and after sampling a number of brands, I’ve happily settled on Full Shimmer Illuminating Shu Uemura shampoo and conditioner. I’m not sure if it’s the rose oil but my hair has never felt softer, been shinier or more manageable. It was so soft after just the shampoo that I barely needed to add conditioner. I didn’t need to add any styling products and my hair has volume with a great wave. I easily ran a comb through my wet hair and my natural curls just came out.
As I write this I’m on day two and my hair still looks freshly washed and like I just left my stylist’s chair.
This Shu Uemura shampoo and conditioner is definitely a keeper!
